LG Electronics has began improving its flagship smartphone GP with Nougat, Google’s

newest Android 7.0 mobile OS. With Google’s reference handset Nexus series excluded, the LG G5 turned the initial Android smartphone to get the Nougat update.

LG Electronic Senior Vice President Kim Hyung-jeong mentioned, "We could provide a well-prepared upgrade service as we have actively received customer opinions through a preview program, we will continue to promptly provide after-sales services that customers need in the future."

Handset manufacturer launched a beta version of the Nougat operating system last August and offered the newest operating system to 2,000 LG G5 users in Korea. Within the process, the company received complaints and suggestions from test candidates and reflected their views in the upgrade.

The Android 7.0 Nougat includes new features such as incorporated application search called In-Apps and multi-window performance.

G5 users can download a dedicated application called LG Bridge from the company’s website or download center in the device, to connect the device to the company and upgrade it.
